What I Ate Wednesday

Today I’m linking up for a “WHAT I ATE WEDNESDAY” post! It’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these…it’s also been awhile since I’ve posted! I’ve found a bunch of yummy snacks and a restaurant which I wanted to share with you all and thought this was a great opportunity. Here is what one day of the week looks like:

I’ve been trying to shop at Whole Foods as much as possible, and when I was there last I picked up this delicious happy trails green juice. I love starting my day with a juice, giving me tons of energy and nutrients.

I also snack throughout the day because my meals are usually on the small side. These Grape-Nuts Fit were sent to me to try out and I love putting this granola in my yogurt! Yogurt not pictured, but I love Fage nonfat greek yogurt and pick some up every time I go to the market.

My lunch usually consists of the same thing throughout the week. This week I bought shredded chicken and mixed it with spinach, tomatoes, avocado and topped with oil and vinegar. Nothing exciting here, pretty simple!

Frontier Snacks also sent me these Frontier Bites. These are only made with 8 simple ingredients, gluten/soy/dairy free and very low in calories. My boyfriend and I are absolutely hooked on these guys! Great little snack before the gym, giving me lots of energy.

The last picture is from my new favorite restaurant Bonita on Chestnut Street (San Francisco). These are seriously the best tacos! I love that they offer a lettuce shell for those health conscious folks. Jeff and I shared the chicken and carne asada tacos, our new go-to! These are also easy to make at home by cooking some meat, adding toppings to your liking and wrapping in a lettuce shell. We usually have taco night 1x a week either at Bonita or at home.

I also posted this on my instagram the other day. We were at the Stanford Shopping center in Palo Alto and stumbled upon a Pressed Juicery freeze! This is a new concept for the juice company, where they freeze ingredients used from the juices. I got the fruit freeze which is a frozen treat made from fruits, coconut and almonds. I am patiently awaiting the day they bring one of these shops to SF!
